Asiatic weddings have a long history of customs that date back thousands of years. These traditions are meant to honor family and honor one’s authenticity, whether it be the baraat in India, the gate-crashing games at Chinese celebrations, or the exchanging of red letters at Vietnamese marriages.

Chinese marriage traditions

Many of the most favorite Chinese marriage ceremonies involve opportune symbols like creatures, immortals and mandarin birds as they are seen as symptoms of good fortune. Any Chinese wedding should include the Double Happiness image, which combines two identical Chinese characters that denote joy and represents delight and fealty. As a mark of happiness, it was customarily hung on the wall of the child’s house and displayed for three weeks.

Another crucial component of any Chinese ceremony is the drink festival, which honors the relatives. The bride and groom serve tea to each of their parents while knelt on teas mattresses during the meeting. According to their tenure, each older comparative is formally introduced by their title and given a gift. The couple also receives presents from their visitors in the form of new hua, red envelopes.
